Welcome at the Institute for Macroeconomics and Econometrics

The members of the institute study macroeconomic questions from business cycles and monetary policy to the causes and consequences of inequality and long-run macroeconomic trends. The research combines the latest macroeconomic theory with the analysis of administrative and survey microdata.

The institute hosts the research training group "The Macroeconomics of Inequality" and its members collaborate with the ECONtribute and Hausdorff Clusters of Excellence, Collaborative Research Center Transregio 224, and the Bonn Graduate School of Economics (BGSE).
